　　宋朝皇帝宋徽宗的这首诗，意境丰富，韵味悠长，生动地诠释了生命体验与客观自然的融合统一。

　　This poem featuring diversified artistic conceptions and lingering connotation by Emperor Huizong of the Song Dynasty animatedly interprets an image where life experience and objective nature meet and melt.

　　ALCEDO & BUTTERFLY

　　本案中的上海BFC外滩金融中心翠蝶餐厅空间设计，便从这首诗中汲取灵感。翠蝶以新式川菜为主打，欲打造并传承有川西文化底蕴的餐饮品牌。因此，设计师赋予空间以诗意，将翠鸟、蝴蝶的意境植入空间，用艺术的方式连接现实与想象，诗意化诠释人、空间与文化的关系，打造出极具中式韵味和诗意情调的餐饮空间。

　　Inspired by this poem, the project Alcedo & Butterfly Restaurant located in Shanghai BFC Bund Financial Center is thus designed. This restaurant is expected to build a catering brand which carries forward the western Sichuan culture with the new Sichuan cuisine as its featured food. As such, the designer resorts to art elements to connect the reality and imagination through bringing in two artistic conceptions of alcedo and butterfly, which endows the restaurant with poetic qualities. Such design creates a dining space with distinct Chinese style and poetic sentiment through a romantic interpretation of the relationship between human, space and culture.

　　餐厅入口处定制的金色招牌，宛如蝴蝶的翅膀，形态婀娜，舞动出一份灵动。翠鸟和蝴蝶，简洁而又形象地点明了餐厅的主题。金色、白色、灰色相互渲染点缀，衬托出整个空间的清雅明快，给人一种远离喧嚣、回归自然的宁静感受。

　　The customized wooden signboard at the entrance of the restaurant resembles the wings of a butterfly which are graceful in shape and give a sense of spirituality. The introduction of artistic conceptions - alcedo and butterfly throws light on the theme of the restaurant succinctly and clearly. And the ornament of intertwining gold, white and gray make for elegance and brightness in the whole space where people may retreat from the hustle and bustle and enjoy the serenity of nature.

　　中式文化重视主观生命情调与客观自然景象的交融映射，注重在似象非象、亦虚亦实之中呈现非凡中国美学体验的“意境”。所以，在翠蝶整体内部空间设计上，设计师将“蝶恋芳香，采撷缤纷”的诗意融入不同的空间，描摹出不同的消费场景，既有大气格局的沉“静”，也有屏气凝神的宁“静”。

　　In Chinese culture, we put a high premium on the integration and reflection of subjective life sentiment and objective natural landscape, and emphasize the presentation of artistic conceptions embodied in extraordinary Chinese aesthetics in virtual reality. Consequently, in the overall interior design of the Alcedo&Butterfly Restaurant, the designer applied the idea of “butterfly intrigued by fragrance on colorful flowers” in different spaces to depict disparate consumption scenarios, revealing a blend of “quiet” decent layout and “tranquil” in preoccupation.

　　空间内采用古铜不锈钢、长虹玻璃、白洞石砖等丰富的材质语言，以当代设计手法在墙体与地面、灯具、门之间营造美学交集，用诗意设计的脉息联动川西的火热与经典川菜的风味，唤醒食客的味蕾，形成独有的品质与体验。白洞石质感粗狂，长虹玻璃细腻淡雅，二者相融升华了空间品质，提升了中式文化的韵味。

　　Bronze-colored stainless steel, embossed glass with vertical stripes and white travertine tile are adopted as the material language of the restaurant conveying an aesthetic intersection in wall, ground, lamps and doors with modern design techniques. The pulse of poetic design combines the burning hot flavor with classic flavor of palatable western Sichuan cuisine to unearth diners’ taste buds and offer characteristic service quality and unique experience. The perplexing blend of the white travertine tiles which are rough and simple in texture and the exquisite and elegant embossed glass with vertical stripes sublimates the space quality and promotes the traditional Chinese culture connotation.

　　设计师将“川西建筑”的概念引入空间，中心的散座区如同大小院落中的天井，而周边的包房则像极了沿街住宅或店铺外的檐廊场景。散座间的长虹玻璃隔断则是树柳的意象，将中部区域围合出有节奏的、有层次、有诗意的空间氛围。

　　As delivered in the concept of “western Sichuan architecture” in the space design introduced by the designer, the area of individual seats in the center is like the patio in the courtyard, while the surrounding private rooms are like the eave galleries outside the residential buildings or shops along the street. The partitions by embossed glass with vertical stripes in the area of individual seats produce the image of willows, rendering a rhythmic, hierarchical and poetic space atmosphere in the central enclosure.

　　空间隔断也应用了蝴蝶翅膀的造型，用彩色玻璃突出蝶恋芳香的景象。订制的川西工艺品，诗化了物质与精神的契合，带着特定意涵的细节表达，赋予场景不同的格调。

　　The butterfly wing-shaped stained glasses are applied in the space partitions to highlight the image of butterfly intrigued by fragrance. And the customized western Sichuan handicrafts poeticize the combination of material and spirit, and endow the scene with different styles through specific detailed expression of the implication.

　　空间灯光环境属暗色系，色调舒缓宁静，让空间更有立体感，想象力。吊灯造型独特新颖，好似鸟的翅膀，又像绽放的花瓣，进一步诗化了“蝶恋芳香”的意境，能够让每一位食客忘记疲惫、轻松自在地享受一道道美食。

　　The dark-colored lighting environment makes the space seem more three-dimensional and offers hallucination with a warm tone. The ceiling lamps are like the wings of a bird or the blooming petals in a unique and novel shape, which makes the artistic conception of the “butterfly intrigued by fragrance” more poetic, so that all the diners may relieve from the fatigue and enjoy the delicious food at ease.

　　同时，天花设计采用了水波纹的形态，极大地提升了空间的自然格调，使得诗意化情境更加浓郁。再加上翠鸟、蝴蝶等形象的辉映，食客们仿佛能听到翠鸟鸣、流水声，看到杨柳依依、彩蝶翩翩，岂不妙哉！

　　Meanwhile, the rippled ceiling design greatly contributes to the natural style of the space, making for a stronger poetic quality. Against the background of the alcedo and butterfly, diners seem to be able to hear the alcedo singing and the sound of running water, and see butterflies dancing around the willows. Such an impressive scene!

　　包房设计灵活多变，满足了个性化的需求。刺绣花鸟画、艺术陈设与成都壁挂夜景，处处彰显着品位与格调。正所谓美器盛美食，造型与舒适度俱佳的餐桌椅，让品味美食更惬意。精心搭配的餐具更是一场视觉飨宴，让人身心愉悦。

　　The flexible and diversified design of the private rooms caters to the individual demands of diners. The embroidered flower-and-bird painting, art furnishings and Chengdu wall-hanging night presentation are demonstrations of high service quality and artistic style of the restaurant. As delicacies are normally served with exquisite dishes, the comfortable dining table and chair in unique shape full of implication offer great pleasure. Diners may also feast their eyes on the elaborately paired tableware and acquire physical and mental pleasure therefrom.

　　蝴蝶不知身是梦，花间栩栩过青春。蝶恋芳香，人恋美食，在翠蝶享受诗意美味，忘记世事喧嚣，体验回归自然的轻松惬意，这不正是牵动我们心魂的美梦吗？

　　Butterflies idle away their puberty among flowers delightfully without knowing its merely a dream. As butterflies are normally intrigued by fragrance among flowers, people tend to be enthralled by gourmet food. It is exactly the sweetest dream that tantalizes all of us to retreat from the hustle and bustle of the materialistic world and embrace pleasure and comfort in the nature, an experience you could get from enjoying poetic delicacy in Alcedo&Butterfly Restaurant.
